It also shot beautifully (we know where it came from) and has that fantastic provenance. It will be a special buy for someone. Wish it were me........
P.S....and with the T01 trigger perfectly adjusted.....again, The Man most certainly knew his stuff.
THE BOINGER BASH AT QUIGLEY HOLLOW. MAKING GREAT MEMORIES SINCE 15th JUNE, 2013.
NEXT EVENT :- August 3/4, 2024.........BOING!!
Same here, hopeless with names, esp when there are so many people, I'd like to think it's age but always been like that
If whoever had the Diana piston & trigger for sale sees this can you pm me if you will sell the piston by it's self. I have an old Original model 50 with a damaged leather seal, if the dimensions are the same this would be great way of being able to use modern seals & get the power up a bit (currently about 7 ft/lbs ) . Thanks.

Do not sell this man any air guns no matter what he says
Thank you Pete, I cant think I will sell it anywhere else, I usually only sell face to face and it is usually at the Bash. Nobody was interested at the Bell Target Club and as the club and the 'Bash' are the only places I meet prospective buyers, it is unlikely it will be sold before then.
As Tony has mentioned, the original owner was a perfectionist when it came to guns conditions.
I can never say which 'Bash' I'm going to but I'm definitely going to at least one this year and but i'm never sure which one, it is always a late decision. That's why Neil lets me pay on the day.
PS i only know to call you Pete because Flingfish mentioned it in his post, I will have forgotton by the next 'Bash', sorry.
Cheers
Melv.

That would be me mate, we where sat next to each other at the shooting table, if you can wait until the next bash and want to bring the piston (or even the whole rifle) I'm sure we can see if the parts match up, or I'm happy to post it to you, whatever you prefer?, I'm not overly clued up on Diana's and I'm unsure what model of trigger the 50 has and if they are interchangeable (I know the T05 piston won't work with a T06 trigger) but not sure about the T01 and T05 set ups, so you may need the trigger to go with the piston anyway (if it all fits the cylinder etc), if it all fits then I'll do you a good deal, I'll keep it for you, just let me know what you want to do regarding posting or bash collection?, I'd rather the parts go cheaply to save a rifle, than be greedy, its difficult to know what to put stuff up for sometimes.

Not a problem Melv, it's taken me a couple of years to remember people's names, if you still have it at any of the next bashes then I'll come and see you but I'm sure Tony will be badgering the crap out of me to buy it and he'll point you in my direction, I'll put some money aside for it.

Hi, yes it probably would be best to put the parts next to each other to see if they match or try seeing if they fit. There is a seal conversion kit available for the 50 but the postage from Germany makes it rather expensive, plus the piston in the 50 looks like it was made a couple of hundred years ago compared to the 34 one.
As a rough idea the 50 piston is 28mm dia, 127mm long piston inc seal & total length inc seal & latch rod is 172mm.
