    Air Rifle re-barreling..who does it

    Got a project HW and want a LW barrel fitting. Mr Pope used to do this for me but who's around now days to carry out the job? Mach 1.5

    Nick Simmons does it mate - and I dare say NickG could sort it too
    Put on heading 270, assume attack formation

    Not sure if Nick G can do it, as I did ask once and he was unsure if he would be able to do it but there's no harm in asking again.
    Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

    A TX200 is about 10x less work than doing a break barrel HW

    I did this HW, but too much work... unless you really need something weird and wonderful, it's just not worth it... but knowing Paul

    Re-Barrel

    Yes still want to do a HW55 in .22 cal. Got all the bits just need the craft person to carry out the job. Mach 1.5

    Barrel

    Well got a spare 55 barrel and a LW barrel blank so going to give it a try. Mach 1.5

    Thanks for sharing. Thought the HW blocks all had the barrel pinned. Can't see one on yours

    Well I know they are pressed in, and some have a nut too. Whether they are pinned as well, who knows. So I just machined the old barrel out of the block, reducing the diameter towards the breech to clear the pin & save unnecesary swarf !

    I certainly didn't see any evidence of a crosspin when peering down the machined out block, and I didn't feel it on the cutter either.

    Venom advertised a .22 HW55 back in the day, did they ever make one?

    Yes venom did do the 55 in .22 cal. Only ever seen one. Mach 1.5
